Of rectangular shape decorated in gold and silver takamaki-e with flowering plum, willow branches, a hillock, stream and paulownia mon reserved on a dense nashiji ground, the design continued on the sides of the box, the interior roiro-nuri sprinkled with nashiji, gilt metal ring mounts- 15 3/4 x 4 5/8 x 3 3/4 in. (40.2 x 11 x 9.3 cm.)
