Of rectangular shape with rounded corners decorated on the lid in takamaki-e with three 'tsuba' each made to simulate metalwork, one of cinnabar with Chokaro and his horse and an arhat rendered in gold and nashiji, one of brownish-black lacquer with gold and red chrysanthemums, and one with samurai, the interior of the box also roiro-nuri- 11 1/2 x 8 3/4 x 3 7/8 in. (29.2 x 22.3 x 9.8 cm.)
