The small vase of high-shouldered ovoid form with wide mouth and short, rolled lip fancifully painted in the pale copper red ground with four grasshoppers promenading with stalks of flowers, the insects rendered in slender grey strokes against the pinkish ground- 4 1/2 in. (11.4 cm.) high
