A MINIATURE EARTHENWARE VASE
MEIJI PERIOD (LATE 19TH CENTURY), SIGNED KYOTO KINKOZAN ZO AND SEALED IN RED SOZAN

The slender, cylindrical vase with rounded shoulder and waisted neck painted in gilt and muted enamels with a large center panel of a daimyo procession reserved on a cream glaze ground dotted with gilt, the area above the foot and at the shoulder painted in gilt with dense chrysanthemums on a cobalt blue ground- 4 5/8 in. (11.8 cm.) high
