He participated in the Yamatane Museum exhibitions in 1979, 1981, and 1983. In 1984 his painting was purchased by the Kitazawa Museum and
in 1986 by the Omishima Museum.
In the last decade Koizume's work, based on nature, has become more refined and poetic, contemplative in mood and dreamily atmospheric. He relies on traditional means to render paintings of quiet power, as those offered here.
