Conceived as a mount, the rearing sea monster with horse head, webbed front legs and wings and fish tail, the mounting spike inscribe in red with museum registration number '57.140' ----- 6½in. (16.5cm.) long, on painted wood base, dark brown patina with traces of black lacquer
