The first in the shape of an egret with backswept wings, painted in underglaze-blue with the bird's wing and body feathers, the underside also painted in underglaze-blue with scrolling foliage and with a 'comb tooth' band around the foot, apocryphal Xuande Ming dynasty reign mark on base; the second a small Hirado ware bowl with curved walls and flaring, scalloped rims, the edges of two opposed sides folded inward and moulded with chrysanthemums and leafy stems, painted in underglaze-blue with chrysanthemum sprays in the well and near the two everted rims, the moulded leaves also painted in underglaze-blue
