A MAGNIFICENT AND COMPREHENSIVE COLLECTION OF FINEST FRENCH WINES This remarkable collection was recently removed from a private cellar in New Jersey in which the wines have been immaculately stored since their initial purchase by the current owner. It is extremely unusual to see wines of this caliber available in such quantities, and Christie's is delighted to confirm that all wines appear to be in near-pristine condition, owing to their impeccable storage history.

Château Latour--Vintage 1959
Pauillac, 1er cru classé
All of excellent general appearance, with deep color and
clean labels

"Nearly three dozen notes. Apart from one, all in marvellous condition. Indeed the wine is virtually indestructible... Like Jane Russell, mean, moody, and magnificent. A huge mouthful, packed, austere. Massive and masculine throughout the 1980s. Still very deep, opaque centre, maturing edge; a misleading gentle, cedary nose with the mulberry character of intense, ripe Cabernet Sauvignon. Full-bodied, rich yet still very tannic." JMB
1 dozen bottlesper lot
