A GEORGE II SILVER SAUCEBOAT AND A GEORGE III COVERED SAUCE TUREEN, each London, the first 1753, maker's mark apparently W ?B, the tureen 1777, maker's mark on base illegible, on cover ?F D pellet between, the oval sauceboat on three stylized shell headed hoof feet, with wavy rim and leaf capped flying scroll handle--length over handle 6in. (15.2cm.), the deep oval sauce tureen on spreading oval foot, the body and cover engraved with crest, with reeded upswept handles and applied beaded rims, the molded detachable cover with spoon cut out, all topped by pine cone finial--length over handles 9½in. (24.1cm.), 21.5oz.
