TWO PAIRS OF COMPOTES, probably Continental, low grade silver, all with stem composed of a boy astride a seamonster, the first on baluster circular base, chased with waves and stylized fish, the stem supporting shell with curled valve, the sides similarly chased to base and stem, --10½in. (26.6cm.) high, the smaller pair similar, on shell base applied with salamanders, all supporting naturalistically formed shell bowl--6in. (15.2cm.) high, not weighed (4)
