A GERMAN PAIR OF FIVE LIGHT CANDELABRA, maker's mark of M. Stumpf & Sohn, late 19th Century, each on raised molded circular base raised on four rocaille and scroll feet, rising to baluster stem supporting baluster socket with shaped circular wax pan and nozzle, issuing stiff leaf band to the four elaborate multi scroll foliate and rocaille branches below the conforming socket, wax pan and nozzle, the central light above multi foliate scroll stem, the base stem and sockets decorated with rocaille, foliate scrolls, diaperwork and flowers on a finely matted ground, also with plain shaped oval cartouches, two on the base monogrammed, one with date 24 JAN 1893, with screw in weight for base--20¾in. (52.7cm.) high, weights removed, approximately 97oz. (2)
