A BRAZILIAN SILVER CROWN, late 18th/early 19th century, probably by Bahia, circular, the strapwork sides chased with panels of various stylized flowerheads and scrolls on a matted ground, joined at the base by a pierced band of flowerheads and trelliswork within scroll cartouches above a band of stylized foliage, the bead finial raised on a six-sided pedestal and supporting a bird, apparently unmarked--10 3/8in. (26.4cm.) high, 11oz.
