A GEORGE III/IV COMPOSITE THREE PIECE TEA SERVICE, all London, maker's marks of, comprising a teapot 1818--Wm. Bateman I, cream jug--1825, Wm. Hunter, and sugar basin--R. Garrard II, each compressed circular on raised circular foot, chased and engraved with continuous flowering foliage, scrolls and rocaille, two asymetrical cartouches, the teapot, one engraved with crest, the teapot with decorated acanthus capped spout and scroll handle, the partly raised and decorated hinged cover topped by floral disc finial, the sugar bowl chased with trailing flowering foliage, two cartouches, each engraved with coat of arms, with applied everted flowering foliate and rocaille wavy rim--the teapot 6½in. (16.5cm.) high, gross weight 52.5oz. (3)
