A GEORGE III SILVER SALVER, London, 1799, maker's mark of John Crouch & Thomas Hannam, oval, on four partly reeded and fluted tapering feet, the center engraved with initials within shield form cartouche, with tied ribbon ermine and drapery, tassle hung, mantling, the far ground with bright cut engraved foliate scroll, enclosed stylized flowerhead, within finely reeded ground, enclosed by wrigglework bands, the tongue chased border with applied reeded rim--19¾in. (50.1cm.) long, 70oz.
