A GEORGE II SILVER TEA CADDY, London, 1758, maker's mark of Benjamin Godfrey, inverted pear shaped, the spreading circular foot and incurved shoulder flat chased with rocaille, the upper body chased and engraved with floral spray at intervals, divided by foliate scrolls headed by small flowers, centering scroll enclosed asymmetrical cartouche engraved with two crests, the detachable molded raised cover similarly chased and surmounted by writhen finial--6¼in. (15.8cm.) high, 12.5oz.
