A SILVER CUP AND COVER, bearing marks for London, 1697, maker's mark of Phillip Rollos I, with later applied decoration, urn form, on raised circular gadrooned foot, the lower body applied with oak leaves, with applied mid rib, engraved above with large baroque cartouche enclosing coat of arms, with two irregularly beaded S scroll handles, the detachable molded raised cover with gadrooned rim and surmounted by later beaded bud finial on later applied oak leaf calyx--10½in. (26.6cm.) high, 73oz.
