A SILVER TWO HANDLED CUP AND COVER, maker's mark of Gould, Stowell & Ward, Baltimore, circa 1855, vase form, on raised circular base, all on scalework ground, the base chased and engraved with double flowers divided by foliage, the lower body with broad foliate band, the remainder with conforming chasing and enclosing front foliate enclosed vacant shaped oval cartouche, with foliate capped scroll handles, and with applied greek key rims, the conforming detachable molded domed cover topped by part engraved covered urn finial--11¼in.
