A GEORGE IV SILVER TEA URN, London, 1824, maker's mark of Paul Storr, of circular form, on square base raised on four scrolled leaf-form feet, the spreading circular stem with bat's wing fluting, supporting the circular body, part-chased with bat's wing fluting, with everted shell and gadroon rim and two open reeded handles issuing from leaves, the faceted spigot with lion's-mask terminal and leaf-clad tap with turned bone handle, the domed circular cover with bat's wing fluting and a leafy baluster finial, the front engraved with a coat of arms and the cover engraved with a crest, marked on side and cover, the spigot stamped PATENT--15 1/2 in. (39.3 cm.) high, gross weight 154oz.
