The arms are those of Lousada of Jamaica impaling those of Aguilar, as borne by Isaac de Lousada who married his cousin, Lydia de Lousada, granddaughter of the Baron d'Aguilar. The family of Lousada was of great antiquity in Spain and had held lands in Jamaica long prior to the cessation of that island by Spain to the British in 1655. The first Duque de Lousada was Grand Chamberlain to Charles III, King of the Two Sicilies.
