A PAIR OF GEORGE III SILVER SAUCE TUREENS AND COVERS, London, 1770, make's mark of Francis Crump, each deep molded oval, on four claw and ball feet headed by stylized foliate swirl, engraved with crest within reeded shield form cartouche, with two upturned scroll handles headed by shell with foliate joins, with applied wavy gadrooned rim, the raised molded cover with spoon cut out, chased with gadrooned band quartered by foliate headed rocaille, all surmounted by cast pineapple finial--length over handles 7½in. (19cm.), 40.5oz. (3)
