A PAIR OF GERMAN SILVER SEVEN LIGHT CANDELABRA, Frankfurt, maker's mark of Posen, each missing one branch, each cast, the triangular raised base on three foliate scroll supports, rising to waisted section enhanced with stylized broad acanthus and foliate scrolls, applied three times with winged cherub's bust, the stem formed as a crouched bearded male supporting by hand and thigh the feet of a young maiden, his hand grasping her buttock and unsuccessfully covering it with drapery, the maiden with one arm lax, the other upraised, both supporting a rusticated leafy horn, all supporting the screw in seven foliate spiralling branches, two branches also enhanced by flowers, with leafy wax pan below the urn form foliate, beaded and rocaille urn form socket, the foliage partly matted--25½in.
