A PAIR OF LARGE SPANISH COLONIAL STYLE SILVER CANDLESTICKS, apparently unmarked, each on raised triangular base raised on three foliate headed claw feet, with acanthus leaf join, chased and engraved with coiled foliate scrolls on matted ground, with chalice engraved oval cartouche, the base rim inscribed and dated 1695, rising to baluster stem supporting cylindrical socket decorated with stylized acanthus and flowers, the interior with screw in rod joining components, the base with wood support--19in. (48.2cm.) high, the silver approximately 74oz. (2)
