AN ENGLISH TURQUOISE-GROUND PART DESSERT SERVICE
Circa 1825, gilt pattern no. 1676
Variously painted with a branch of fruit, the turquoise border with shaped scroll rims enriched in gilt, comprising:
A two-handled lozenge-shaped compote, 7 7/8in. (20cm.) high, 14in. (35.6cm.) wide overall
Two circular two-handled footed sauce-tureens, covers and stands, 7½in. (19cm.) diam., the stands
Two oval dishes, 11¼in. (28.6cm.) long
Two rectangular dishes, 10 7/8in. (27.7cm.) long
Two shell-shaped dishes, 10in. (25.4cm.) long
Twelve dessert plates, 9in. (22.9cm.) diam. (23)
