Of cylindrical form with pierced rinceau rim mounts, each painted with panels of amorous couples in landscapes within gilt foliate cartouches and reserved against a blue ground with similar panels of flowers, the handles as looped tassels suspended from the mouths of lion masks, on a circular base with egg-and-dart band and raised on four acanthus scroll feet--13 5/8in.
