A SPANISH COLONIAL SILVER GILT MOSTRANCE BASE, late 17th Century, probably Lima, on shaped square base raised on four cast scroll and cherub supports with a pierced interlaced band between, set with cast figures of the Virgin and scrolling leaves, rising to a stem formed of vase shaped sections applied with openwork scroll brackets and multi colored stones, surmounted by a cast figure of the Virgin apparently unmarked--21 in. (53.3 cm.) high gross weight 139oz.
