A GEORGE V FIVE PIECE SILVER TEA SERVICE ON TWO HANDLED TRAY, Birmingham, 1929 and 1930, the tray 1927, maker's mark of Adie Bros., stand lacking maker's mark, in the George I style, comprising globular tea kettle on chained stand and lamp, baluster teapot with wood handle, cream jug, circular two handled covered sugar bowl, and waste bowl, each on short molded foot, engraved with initials C over H * A, the pots with panelled partly covered scroll spout, hinged domed cover, the tea kettle on circular stand raised on four multi scroll supports--tea kettle on stand over part wood swing handle--(burner cover unmarked and not weighed) 15in. (38.1cm.) high, the shaped oblong tray with incurved corners, molded border and two partly reeded shaped handles--length over handles 25¾in. (65.4cm.), gross weight 224oz.
