A SILVER GILT TEA CADDY AND TWO HANDLED CUP, each decorated later, bearing marks for London, the inverted pear shaped caddy on openwork flowering foliate circular foot, the body divided three times by rocaille enclosed swirled beaded bands, with flowering foliage between, engraved with small crest, the decorated slip on domed cover topped by pineapple finial--1759, maker's mark of C M pellet between struck thrice--6¼in. (15.8cm.) high, the urn form cup on spreading circular base, applied mid band, chased and engraved with flowering foliage and rocaille on matted ground, two vacant cartouches, two plain scroll handles--apparently 1773--5¼in. (13.3cm.) high, 18.5oz. (2)
