A BRITANNIA SILVER TANKARD, with later added spout also marked for Britannia standard, bearing marks for London, apparently 1715, maker's mark B ?, cylindrical on molded foot, applied girdle, engraved above with coat of arms and crest within foliate and rocaille surround, the scroll handle with thumbpiece at right angles to the spout, with hinged molded low domed cover--7¼in. (18.4cm.) high, 25oz.
