Set with an oval hardstone cameo depicting a male warrior within an openwork yellow gold frame with blue, white, black and red enamel decoration, set with a pearl, emeralds, diamonds and rubies, (enamel slightly chipped, repair evident), circa 1860

Ernesto Rinzi was an Italian craftsman who lived from 1836 to 1909. He came from Italy to work in England in the 1860's and set up a shop at 32 Argyll Street. His work is of Rennaissance influence. Examples of his jewelry are very rare.
