A TUSCAN MAIOLICA ARMORIAL VASE, of baluster form with side handles moulded against the shoulder, painted in green, blue, yellow and ochre on a white ground with a crowned cartouche inscribed '1743'--21in. high; together with eight French faience plates, with scalloped rims and painted in colours in the 18th Quimper style, including three with a mustachioed soldier within a strapwork medallion with grotteschi and winged angel heads, a fourth similar within a different medallion, two with named French scenes, and two with amorous couples within landscapes and within rocaille foliate surrounds and rims--9 5/8in. diam.; and with a French mochaware bowl, 19th century, the interior with a white glaze, the exterior slip-decorated with a zig-zag on a terracotta ground enclosed within blue bands--6¼in. diam.
