One woodcut ornamental initial, early foliation (ff.43-46, trimmed) indicating that it was formerly part of a Sammelband. (Small, light stain in 2 leaves.) Modern paper wrappers.
First and only edition of an oration by the humanist Pietro Gravina, delivered in St. Peter's before Pope Alexander VI on the feast of the Ascension (16 May) 1493. Gravina was a member of the Neapolitan court, where he joined literary luminaries such as Pontano and Sannazaro.
