Chancery 4° (214 x 149 mm). Collation: a4 (a1r text). 28 lines. Type 3:104G. One woodcut ornamental initial. Modern russet crushed morocco, gilt fillet border to sides, flat spine lettered in gilt, gilt turn-ins, marbled endpapers, gilt edges (slight wear to front hinge).
Third of three undated editions, the precedence of which was determined by C.F. Bühler in Gutenberg-Jahrbuch (1975, pp. 97-9). The present edition was slightly revised from a previous edition set in Freitag's type 2:88R (BMC IV, 135, IA. 18946). Niccolò Tegrimi delivered this oration pledging obedience by the citizens of Lucca to the newly elected Pope Alexander VI (Rodrigo Borgia).
