Lot Essay

In March, 1982 Harry Callahan wrote Edwynn Houk regarding the print offered in this lot. In his letter he states that he is familiar with it and that he "made the print shortly after making the negative and dry mounted it while still living in Chicago. The prints I dry mounted were usually used for exhibitions and were, in my judgment, very fine prints."

This print was acquired in June, 1982.
