A collected set of first editions: Vegetable Staticks (i.e. the first work) was re-titled Statical Essays...Vol. 1 for its second edition, published in 1731. The first edition of Haemastaticks (i.e. the second work) is Vol. II of Statical Essays.

The first work contains the "first complete account of the physiology of plants, including the reaction with air and movement of the sap"--Grolier/Horblit. "The second volume contains the studies on blood pressure which make Hales one of the founders of modern experimental physiology"--Printing and the Mind of Man.
