Small 4to, 201 x 148mm., contemporary Mexican binding of mottled sheep, covers with outer border of a repeated stylized flower tool within a frame of double fillet, marbled paper rectangular central panels bordered in gilt, smooth spine gilt tooled and with red morocco label, blue and red stencilled paper endleaves, slight abrasion to the extremities of binding. FIRST EDITION, issue with "A Expensas de Don Miguel Gonzalez Calderon" preceding imprint on title-page, folding engraved map of Upper and Lower California in Wagner's second issue with legend "Mar Pacifico," engraved plate of Serra.
