(9 1/8 x 6 3/16 in.), nineteenth-century dark purple morocco, covers with two triple gilt-ruled borders, arms of Queen Marie de Medicis gilt at center, her crowned monogram and crowned fleur-de-lys at inner and outer corners of inner panel, spines gilt in six compartments, g.e., some very slight scuffing to joints and extremities, upper inner hinges cracked, small repair to last leaf of the Oeuvres catching 3 letters, a very few insignificant marginal repairs, imprint dates of the Oeuvres altered in ink to read 1564, washed and pressed. Italic type, printers' devices on titles, woodcut floriated and grotesque headpieces and initials, the Oeuvres in four parts (the Deffense et Illustration de la Langue Françoise; L'Olive augmentée; L'Antérotique de la vieille et jeune amy with Quelques vers lyriques; and the Recueil de Poésie presenté à...Princesse Ma Dame Marguerite), separately paginated, the first and last two with separate titles, L'Angelier's large woodcut device on verso of final leaves of parts 1 and 2, small woodcut of an author writing, repeated six times.
