engraving, circa 1558, on laid paper, only state, a very good, well- toned impression, trimmed on or just inside the irregular platemark on three sides, to the edge of the image at the top, a spot of ink on the Hydra's right leg, a few tiny surface abrasions, other small losses at the bottom right sheet corner, pale staining showing mostly on the reverse
