Ann Percy, on the basis of a transparency, has attributed the present sketch to an imitator of Castiglione, possibly an 18th century Venetian hand, who frequently depicted satyr families engaged in domestic activities and thus can be referred to as the "Satyr-Family Hand." Ann Percy is currently preparing an article on this yet to be identified artist
