Each approximately 10¼ x 8in., or the reverse, tipped to a mount. Each with translucent sleeve with printed titles. Numbered on colophon, inside rear wrapper. Included is a 6-page printed introductory text by Pierre Bost. Contained in the original decorated folding wrapper. Number 62 from the edition of 500.

Lot Essay

This portfolio was conceived and created by Man Ray for promotional purposes for the Paris electric company, CPDE, and included 2 nude studies of Lee Miller. Of the limited edition of 500, 450 sets were reserved for the company executives and preferred clients; the remaining 50 were available for sale. Of the numbered editions, only a portion are known to survive.

The titles include: Le Monde; Salle a Manger; La Ville; Lingerie; Salle de Bain; Cuisine; Le Souffle; and La Maison.
