Three inscriptions by the artist, one of which states: "Wang Yuanzhang (Wang Mian, 1287-1359) was the best painter [of plum blossoms] in the Yuan dynasty. The only person truly able to capture his style was Chen Xianzhang (1428-1500) of the Ming dynasty", signed: Luo Ping

The second inscription is a poem and the third is signed: Liang Feng
