It is unusual to find a He Chaozong mark on a bronze as opposed to Dehua figures. Compare the similar figure of Guanyin of slightly larger size inlaid in silver with a He Chaozong Yin mark included in the exhibition, Chinese and Japanese Bronzes, A.D. 1100-1900, London, 1989, and illustrated by M.
