The plain body of the larger tapering from the high, rounded shoulder to the slightly concave base, with a sharp edge at the base of the tall, tapering neck which rises to a curved, everted mouth rim, the stone now of mottled dark brown and bone color, restored, rim chips; the smaller vase with a tapering body of oval section, the sides carved in thread relief with archaistic bands of dragons and pendent blades between narrow borders of bosses and fish, the high shoulder carved with nine narrow, cylindrical necks surrounding the central neck of the vase, of motttled bone color--7 and 4 7/8in. (17.8 and 12.4cm.) high (2)
