Decorated on the ovoid bodies with a continous pattern of flowering prunus branch reserved in white against a rich blue ground faintly drawn with 'cracked ice' pattern, the shoulder encircled by a notched band, the domed covers similarly decorated--10in. (25.4cm.) high (2)

A jar and cover of this pattern was included in the International Exhibition of Chinese Art, Royal Academy of Art, London, 1935-6, illustrated in the Catalogue, no. 1797; and another is in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, illustrated by Valenstein, A Handbook of Chinese Ceramics, 1989, p. 218, no. 209
