A FAMILLE VERTE LOTUS-FORM TEAPOT AND COVER
KANGXI
The body formed as a tight lotus bud with overlapping petals, the flat cover with bud finial modeled as the pod of the plant, set with a pair of conjoined loop handles simulating the stalk, opposite the spout formed by a curled, veined leaf, all picked out in green, aubergine and yellow enamels, handle and spout restored, cracks, chips; together with two famille verte lotus-form brushwashers, Kangxi, each similarly modeled with a circular pod joined by a shaped receptacle, one with a leaf-form receptacle molded with a crab, snail and insect in the interior, the other of deeper, plainer form, some chips and minor restoration--5 1/4in. (13.3cm.) high; 4 1/4 and 4½in. (10.8 and 11.6cm.) across (3)
