Of rounded rectangular shape, depicting two figures on a pathway pulling a rope attached to a boat in a river landscape, a sailboat in the distance below a short inscription, the reverse with a five-line inscription including the date, signature and seal, small neck flaw, stopper

Lot Essay

The inscription on the reverse is a Tang poem. The river scene on the reverse is painted in the brushwork style of Wang Hui (1632-1717)
