Emerging from colorful scrolling tendrils is the forepart of a stag running to the left, his head turned back displaying his antlers, shadowed groundline below, composed of carefully color-graded tesserae creating a painterly effect, on a white ground, 24 5/8in. (62cm.) x 18 3/8in. (46.6cm.)
