The hinged rectangular serpentine molded edge top with outset rounded corners above a conforming drawer with cockbeaded surround flanked by oval paterae inlay above an apron with carved gadrooning centering floral devices, on molded square tapering legs (one leg replaced)--28¼in. high, 37½in. wide, 18½in. deep

This card table, with its serpentine top and gadrooned skirt, incorporates several of the design elements typically associated with Thomas Affleck of Philadelphia. A related table attributed to Affleck with latticed corner brackets and Marlborough legs is illustrated in Downes, plate 346
