POSSIBLY BERKS COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA, DATED 1841

With arched backplate above a rectangular hinged lid over a conforming case with incised checkerboard decoration painted in yellow, red, black, and olive, inscribed on the lid "Chrisdina Hoffman, Jahr 1841" the case centering a blackbird flanked with the initilas "CH"--8¼in. high, 12 7/8in. wide, 5½in. deep
