STAFFORDSHIRE, ENGLAND, 19TH CENTURY

Comprising a rare cup and saucer decorated with a vertical band of spattered plum enamel centering a red flowerhead with green foliage and stem; a child's teabowl and saucer decorated with alternating vertical bands of spattered blue and red enamel, the inside with a similarly spattered roundel; two teabowls, one "peafowl" bowl painted with a blue, yellow and ochre peacock perched on a branch against a green-spattered ground, the other with green flowerheads on a cream ground; the last a "peafowl" saucer painted with a red and ochre peacock perched on a branch against a blue-spattered ground (repaired crack to peafowl saucer)--largest saucer 6 in. diameter, the largest cup 4in. diam.
