The basis for this attribution lies in several related examples on file in the Decorative Arts Photographic Collection, The Henry Francis du Pont Winterthur Museum, in both private and museum collections. A Geburts und Taufschein in the collection of the Schwenkfelder Library (NEH 722, 2a - 3a), as well as a Geburts und Taufschein in the Museum of Art, Carnegie Institute (NEH 971, 34a - 36a) attributed to Trevits both exhibit the same consideration of the layout of the certificate as well as the same loose handling of materials and execution of form.
